Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Planidge uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting; others are set by third-party services running on that page.

Planidge also uses localStorage — a similar browser storage mechanism that works without expiry dates and is not transmitted with every request. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include localStorage and similar storage technologies.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the app to function. They do not require your consent.

planidge_cookie_consentRemembers your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) so we do not show the banner on every visit.localStorageUntil cleared

Analytics cookies (optional — requires your consent)

We use Firebase Analytics, which is built on Google Analytics 4 (GA4). These cookies are only active if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or have not yet made a choice, no analytics cookies are set.

_gaDistinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. Used to calculate visits, sessions, and traffic data.Google Analytics2 years

When analytics are active, we collect information about how you interact with Planidge — for example which features you use, whether you create trips with or without AI, and whether you see an upgrade prompt. We do not collect the content of your trips. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

3. What we do not use cookies for

4. Your choices

You can change your analytics cookie preference at any time using the buttons below. Your choice is saved in this browser only.

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that clearing cookies will reset your preference and the banner will reappear on your next visit. Links to browser cookie settings:

To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that use cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
