This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Planidge uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting; others are set by third-party services running on that page.
Planidge also uses localStorage — a similar browser storage mechanism that works without expiry dates and is not transmitted with every request. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include localStorage and similar storage technologies.
These are required for the app to function. They do not require your consent.
| Name / key | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
trip_planner_my_trips | Stores the list of trip IDs you have created or joined in this browser, so they appear on your home screen without signing in. | localStorage | Until cleared |
| Firebase Auth session | Keeps you signed in across page loads. Managed by Firebase Authentication (Google). Includes an IndexedDB entry and session identifiers. | IndexedDB / cookie | Session / persistent per Firebase settings |
planidge_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) so we do not show the banner on every visit. | localStorage | Until cleared |
We use Firebase Analytics, which is built on Google Analytics 4 (GA4). These cookies are only active if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or have not yet made a choice, no analytics cookies are set.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. Used to calculate visits, sessions, and traffic data. | Google Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4. | Google Analytics | 2 years |
When analytics are active, we collect information about how you interact with Planidge — for example which features you use, whether you create trips with or without AI, and whether you see an upgrade prompt. We do not collect the content of your trips. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can change your analytics cookie preference at any time using the buttons below. Your choice is saved in this browser only.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that clearing cookies will reset your preference and the banner will reappear on your next visit. Links to browser cookie settings:
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that use cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
